O’Brien County Conservation Board Appointment

The O’Brien County Board of Supervisors are seeking individuals interested in filling an appointment on the O’Brien County Conservation Board. This is a 5-year term.  The purpose of the conservation board, which is supported by Iowa law, is to acquire, develop, maintain and make available to the inhabitants of the county, public museums, parks, preserves, parkways, playgrounds, recreational centers, county forests, wildlife and other conservation areas, and to promote and preserve the health and general welfare of the people, to encourage the orderly development and conservation of natural resources, and to cultivate good citizenship by providing adequate programs of public recreation.

The Board of Supervisors are requiring an application to be completed for any persons wishing to apply for this position.   Interested individuals are asked to complete the application which is available on the County website https://obriencounty.iowa.gov or from the Auditor’s Office.  Applications are due by Monday, June 24th at 4:00 PM.  Questions may be directed to the O’Brien County Auditor’s Office at 712-957-3225 or by emailing brohwer@obriencounty.iowa.gov.
