All the qualified Electors of the South O’Brien Community School District are hereby notified that a Special School Election will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
ALL POLLS WILL OPEN AT 7:00 A.M. AND WILL CLOSE AT 8:00 P.M.

Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot. Voters who are not pre-registered such as voters registering to vote on Election Day and voters changing precincts must also provide proof of residence. A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence if required. 1) may have voter’s identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct, 2) prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration documents, or 3) cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the County Auditor’s office by noon, March 13, 2023. Election Day Registrant attesters must provide an approved form of identification. Voter pre-registration deadline is 5:00 P.M. February 20, 2023 at the O’Brien County Auditor’s office.
Absentee ballots are available in the County Auditor’s office during regular business hours.

PUBLIC TEST OF VOTER EQUIPMENT
The public test of O’Brien County’s voting equipment to be used in the March 7, 2023 Special School Election will commence at 9:30 a.m. on March 2, 2023 in the O’Brien County Courthouse and will continue until completed. SHALL THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC MEASURE BE ADOPTED?
Shall the Board of Directors of the South O’Brien Community School District in the Counties of O’Brien, Cherokee, and Clay, State of Iowa, be authorized to contract indebtedness and issue General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $25,935,000 to provide funds to be used to build, furnish and equip additions to the junior high/high school facilities, including an agricultural wing, an industrial arts wing, a science wing, an auxiliary gym, a community fitness center, an administrative office space, with related remodeling and improvements, and related site improvements; and to remodel, repair, improve, furnish and equip the elementary gymnasium for district performing arts? Yes or No
