NOTICE OF ELECTION

All the qualified Electors of O’Brien County, Iowa are hereby notified that a Special Election will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

ALL POLLS IN O’Brien COUNTY OPEN AT 7:00 A.M. AND WILL CLOSE AT 8:00 P.M.

ALL LOCATIONS ARE YOUR GENERAL ELECTION POLLING LOCATIONS

Precinct 1 Carroll & Floyd Townships including the City of Archer Crossroads Pavilion, Sheldon
Precinct 2 Franklin Township including the City of Sanborn Community Bldg. Sanborn
Precinct 3 Hartley, Lincoln & Omega Townships including the City of Hartley Community Center, Hartley
Precinct 4 Sheldon 1st Ward Crossroads Pavilion, Sheldon
Precinct 5 Sheldon 2nd Ward Crossroads Pavilion, Sheldon

Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot.  Voters who are not pre-registered-such as voters registering to vote on Election Day-and voters changing precincts must also provide proof of residence.  A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence) if required.  1:  may have voter’s identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct, 2:  prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration documents, or 3:  cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the County Auditor’s office by noon, December 13, 2021.  Election Day Registrant attesters must provide an approved form of identification.  For additional information about providing proof of identity and/or residence visit:  https://sos.iowa.gov/voter id or phone 712-957-3225.

Voter pre-registration deadline is 5:00 P.M. November 22, 2021 at the O’Brien County Auditor’s office.

Absentee ballots are available in the County Auditor’s office during regular business hours.

PUBLIC TEST OF VOTER EQUIPMENT

The public test of O’Brien County’s voting equipment to be used in the December 7, 2021 Special Election will commence at 9:00 a.m. on December 3, 2021 in the O’Brien County Courthouse and will continue until completed.
